SOLEMN PROFESSION: Our monastic community at Subiaco was blessed to welcome a new solemnly professed monk into our Chapter. Jesse Bedore was led by God to join our community in 2018. After his short time as a candidate, he entered into our novitiate for one year after which he made his profession as a monk on September 8, 2019, and was given the name “André” in honor of St. André Bessette. Having served for three years in temporary vows, Br. André petitioned the Chapter of Solemnly Professed monks of Subiaco to be allowed to make his solemn life-long profession. Having given their approval, Abbot Elijah then received the promise of Br. André on August 15, 2022, to a perpetual vowed life of stability, fidelity to the monastic way of life, and obedience. Congratulations to Br. André for his openness to the call of God to our monastic way of life. UIOGD!
