From high school through adulthood, the Academy and Abbey have educated and formed us to become more faithful followers of Jesus Christ in an increasingly secular world. We believe that vibrant Catholic institutions are vital to the future of this country. Young men are especially in need of virtuous male role models displaying faith in action, as they develop their conscience and character in preparation for leadership roles in society. Therefore, we are enthusiastic supporters of the “Legacy from Tradition” Capital Campaign.
Please join us in contributing to the financial support of Subiaco for the benefit of future generations.

Subiaco Abbey & Academy is blessed with many who support the ministries of the monks. When we announced the start of this campaign in late in 2018, Chuck and Jan Anderson eagerly accepted our invitation to be co-chairs of this effort and immediately set out to assist in making this campaign successful. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2020, Jan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and on August 27, 2021, her 12-month struggle ended with a peaceful passing. Jan’s strength and steadfast trust in God was a living example to us all, and encouragement for the continuance of the Subiaco legacy: Onward Together! May she rest in peace.
Karen and I especially feel the love and hospitality of the monks and community. We are blessed to be benefactors in the tradition of the Benedictines.
Families continue to share the Subiaco traditions, which in turn build the legacy. Through this capital campaign-“Legacy From Tradition-Onward Together,” the Academy will be able to supplement the education costs for the sons and grandsons of Subiaco Academy Alumni and other students. By creating an opportunity for more legacy students, together we can ensure that the “Sons of Subiaco” continue to benefit from the Subiaco experience.
Financial aid is a great investment. In 1878, the Nick Minden family started their own family tradition of giving back to the Subiaco community. While I attended Subiaco Academy, I was a recipient of financial aid. Today Karen and I are honored to continue the tradition of serving the Subiaco community-"Onward Together." We are pleased to give back through the capital campaign as "Together We Serve."

I am honored to be named an honorary chair of Subiaco Abbey’s new capital campaign, Legacy From Tradition-Onward Together.
Of all people, I am the most indebted to the Subiaco tradition, from the monks who taught me to the friends of the monastery who have supported me for all my years here, especially when I was Abbot. In a time of uncertainty in the world, we in the Subiaco family have been blessed with St. Benedict’s vision of faith and stability. I can only say, “Bless the Lord, bless his holy name,” and invite you to join us as we go forward together to do the Lord’s work radiating from this place called Subiaco.

Subiaco has been my “other family” since I went to Camp Subiaco back in the 1980s. I still remember how amazed I was with the Abbey and Academy and the monks. I came home and told my parents “I want to go to school there,” and that continues to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I was blessed with friends who became brothers and monks and staff who formed us and now work with us as we continue the Subiaco ministry together. I’m excited and honored to enter into this newest capital campaign so that the minister can continue to welcome others.

Father,
Only You truly know what we are setting out to accomplish. We have an idea, a vision, hints, and daily instructions. We have talents, abilities, and time to work. However, only You can see in perfect detail the end of every beginning. Every project, every season, every life. Nothing is ever in vain, for even mistakes and missteps are used for good.
Your righteousness transcends all our efforts and understanding. Strengthen our confidence in who You have made us to be. Set us free from comparison in order to work together efficiently. Bless our meetings, Lord, all those present, as well as the lives of those we will encounter afterward. Ready us to make every moment count.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen
