HONORING OUR SISTERS: In 1878 when our Subiaco monastic community was founded on the ridges by Fr. Wolfgang and two Brothers, they did not remain alone very long. In only a few short months we would see the arrival of Benedictine sisters that would join us as colleagues in ministry in the years ahead. Therefore, we rejoice again as our Benedictine sisters of Fort Smith both welcome the temporary profession of two new sisters, as well as honor the anniversary of profession for
several other sisters. The newly professed are Sisters Judith and Michaela. They also celebrated the jubilees of Sisters Rose Ashour (80 years), Sister Pierre Vorster, (75 years) and Sisters Rachel Dietz and Madeline Clifton (60 years) on June 24, 2015, at 10:30 am mass with Bishop Anthony Taylor, our Abbot Leonard, and many others in attendance. If you know of someone who may be interested in monastic life as a Benedictine sister, then please contact Sr. Kimberly at 479-783-4147 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Ut in omnibus glorificetur Dei!
