One of the first tasks for the new monks founding our monastery was the planting of a garden and vineyard. We are one of the few monasteries in America that continues that tradition. We have Br. Joseph who oversees our vineyard and assisted by Br. Basil. Lots of other monks can also be found in our gardens we maintain. Brothers Joseph and Adrian, along with Fathers Reginald, Richard, and Mark, all have their hand in the ground. We plant peppers, squash, beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, okra, and peas. Click on the photo album to view just a few pictures of our grounded way of life:
